Creating a Culture of Operational Excellence

The recent 2009 CIMA Global award for Best Employer - Medium Sized Company is a proud one and follows in the legacy of the ITV Business Service Centre (BSC) taking a Leadership role in many areas since its foundation in 2008.
This award recognized medium sized employers who demonstrate an approach to business based on employee development, creativity and empowerment. Employers needed to show how they support their CIMA students and members and encourage best practice. Judges sought examples of:

  1. evidence of innovative training and/or CPD schemes 
  2. good support mechanisms /mentoring / training for staff 
  3. Career development and the use of CIMA employees to drive strategy.

THE ROOTS SHOOTS FRUITS experience has allowed team members to think, understand and act in the same way, allowing the creative process to flow as you would expect in a media organisation.
RSF Programme has underpinned our Vision – ‘Driving Excellence through Collaboration & Change’.

  1. 91% of all KPI’s at green 15 months on.
  2. 93% of the team are taking further development / continuous optional learning.
  3. 28% of the team are in formal Professional studies.
  4. Business as Usual (BAU) achieved 9 Months post ‘Go Live’
  5. 150 people recruited, 110 permanent – only 1.2% attrition
  6. 100% of Team trained with an understanding of Strategy.
  7. 5,714 hours overtime in first 3 months – Resilience.
  8. Sickness levels  less than .5%
  9. 95% impact on motivation
  10. 96% on satisfaction
  11. 98% on commitment within the centre.
